Tagaytay Flare - Meeting the man who started it all

August 24, 2022

I am a fan of Jason Magbanua, so-called the father of Same Day Edit. Knowing his story on how he was able to shoot, edit, and present the video within the same wedding inspired me, and from that day on, I never stopped admiring his work and life in general. I'd go anywhere in the Philippines just to listen to his workshop and keep the fire burning. Our post-production services are committed to delivering films that are founded on stories; it makes everything we do meaningful.

This was my first time attending a workshop and being led by two of the most renowned videographers and photographers in the Philippines made it even more special to me. It was held in Tagaytay, one of the most recommended places to visit the country due to its cool weather, good food, and beautiful scenery, such as Taal Volcano.

As a wedding filmmaker, one of the things we need to invest in more than anything else is the skill to craft a timeless film, treating each story on its own. There may be thousands of love stories, and each is unique. No other love is more beautiful than the one written for you.

The moment we realize that wedding filmmaking is not just a documentation of the wedding day but something to look back on in life—something that brings back what you felt at your wedding and something that takes you back to why it all started—is the moment we realize why choosing to have a wedding film is as important as choosing the right dress, rings, and location of your wedding.
